I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

  • Payment for therapy sessions is due at the time of service, including any applicable deductible, copayment, or coinsurance. You may pay using either cash or HSA, FSA, debit, or credit cards. For billing purposes, we require at least one valid credit or debit card to be securely stored in our client portal. This ensures smooth transaction processing and helps maintain accurate financial records for your therapy services.

  • If you're paying out of pocket for services, you're entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate. This estimate provides you with an expected total cost for any non-emergency psychotherapy services before you schedule your session. It's important to note that if you receive a bill that exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400.00 or more, you have the right to dispute it. Should you have any questions or need additional information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, resources are available to assist you. You can find answers and more detailed information here.

  • A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, the full session fee ($200.00 individuals; $250 couples) will be charged to the card I have on file. Please note that insurance does not cover this fee. I value your time and ask that you extend the same courtesy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy.

  • If you're using Mentaya or if I'm not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for coverage if your plan offers out-of-network benefits. This typically applies to PPO (Preferred Provider Organization), POS (Point of Service), and HDHP (High Deductible Health Plan) plans. However, please note that HMOs, Medicaid, and traditional Medicare plans do not provide out-of-network benefits. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage and benefits."

  • If you choose to use Mentaya to submit claims for you, all you have to do is wait for your insurance reimbursement checks to arrive in the mail / direct deposited into your bank account.

    The exact amount you get reimbursed will depend on your particular insurance plan. PPO plans can cover anywhere from 30-80% of the session cost.

    Once you meet your deductible, it takes a few weeks for you to get reimbursed. Mentaya can submit claims after every session to help you get reimbursed as quickly as possible.
